| | | | Who to buy a new bass from? Hello everyone. After recent trouble with the last bass I purchased, I am back on the market looking for a company to purchase a different bass from. If people could tell me the names of companies that they respect and possibly give me their websites I would be very grateful.

They're about 1.5 hours drive from you and probably the biggest bass shop in the northwest. I've done business with them a few times and they've always been great. I'm not sure what brands they carry. Give them a call and see what they have. They also have a trade-in policy for upgrades. http://www.hammondashley.com/seattle/index.php

*whoops! beaten to the punch* | I bought a bass at Hammond Ashley and I'm selling one there on consignment. They usually have instruments from Shen, Wultur, Wilfer, and KC Strings, as well as a variety of lesser instruments, and occasionally some really nice instruments.
I also bought a bass at the Bass Church; they have a smaller selection but if you're coming down to Seattle to look at instruments you should check both places out. Bass Church is by appointment.
If you're going down to either shop, send me a PM. |

You'd be able to auditions basses before you buy. Once you buy, when typical situations occur afterwards, say the usual crack or open seam, you can go back to the store and have these common issues repaired.
Or you could just keep the Sunrise you already have and get it fixed they way you and 'Bass Customer' were guided to. It's still good for the two of you to develop a relationship with a local bass luthier, who can take care of your bass regardless of where it was bought.
'bricks and mortar' stores... still going strong.
