Enough of the coy, over the shoulder look. Give is a full front-on total nudity shot!

I guess I'm the turd in the punch bowl. It's beautiful, but to me the back end of it seems a little on the bulbous side. Nine out of ten.

Is this bass french? The proportions remind me of some early 19th century examples from France.

Oh, I like them on the bulbous side, yes indeed, I like them a wee bit bulbous! I realized the other day that all the brass was completely grey so I put a little elbow grease to it and was really pleased with the results.

where in Brooklyn are you?

examining the brick wall behind the bass, suggests we might live in the same general neighborhood.

Nice scroll porn, by the way. I play Uptons, not nearly so sexy. But I like them.

Awesome scroll! I just have a basic German factory bass and I really get jealous of those beautiful old scrolls!
Take it easy on the "Brooklyn", though - I like to remind people it hasn't been it's own city since 1898! Having said that, one of my best friends has a place in Park Slope - it is an awesome area.

Looks like something that might have been played on the deck of a 3 master. Nice.
