Will my bass fit in a 2006 toyota corolla?

So Im getting my sisters car send to me to California... anyways its a 2006 toyota corolla, my old car was a 2000 corolla (the one before the 2006 version), and I would fit my bass in there with the seats down. I wanted to know if you think a bass could fit in a 2006 corolla, or maybe I could take the seats out for even more space? I dont need an amp so there will be no problem on that, just my bass and I.

oh I know there is a car thread but I thought that posting this question there would take it off topic. Also I couldnt find the answer ther

My strategy when I drove a compact sedan was to tilt back the front passenger seat, move the drivers seat forward, and go in neck first through the drivers side passenger door. This worked with an old Mazda 626 sedan, and my Saturn station wagon when there were kiddie seats permanently installed in the back.

Another way to get a bass in a sedan is to tilt back both front seats, put the bass in peg first, bridge forward, through the front passenger door, then rotate it till it is longways in the car and put the driver's seat back up. Just don't get it hung up on the gear selector or handbrake.

Try this, works with my Camry. Passenger seat all the way back, remove the head rest, place bass on it's back, scroll toward the floor. Place the headrest on the seat, behind the button so no pressure is on the neck. Strap it in. Works like a charm and I suspect it will work with your new corolla.

If I can fit a 3/4 bass in our 1999 honda civic 4 door sedan, by folding down the back seats, it SHOULD fit in a corolla.

Always best to get a hatchback or "liftback" versions - I've had two Corollas, chosen specifically for this reason - fitting a DB in!

I bet an Acura Integra or RSX would be a great car. They are fun and fast too!

My G-pa can haul 4 golf bags and computer boxes in the same load, so I would think a bass would fit

I had a funny situation in which I played a wedding, using my double bass, and my BIG amp setup (4X10 cab, 2X8 cab, peavy mark 111 head). I had borrowed my father's 2006 Corolla, since the gig was in PA. It was a squeeze, but it fit the way you describe, with the passenger seat folded back and no head rest.

Then I met a friend from back home at the wedding, and I took him with me to see another friend playing in NJ the next night, so we had to rearrange. We put the 2/3 back seat down, and put the pin-end of the bass into the trunk through the passenger door, with the rest of the bass coming forard between the front seats. That worked too.

Then my wife surprised me by hopping on our friends' tour bus at their show in VT the previous night to meet me at the show in NJ! They were continuing on with their tour, so I suddenly had 3 people, my DB and all of my amps, and our luggage to drive back to VT in the Corolla. It was a tight fit, and none of us could see the others from our seats (not to mention very limited passenger-side visibility), but it worked!
