Woo got an upright

plywood laminate, with mecaser(SP?) Ebony.
The guy i baught it from got it setup with a brand new bridge, new strings, and a nice new brazilwood German Bow. for $1450.

Man, that looks like some seriously low string height..........I could never play that one!

What interests me though is---what the hell is "mind-erasing elixir"? Absinthe in a can?

its a joke can of some energy drink.

But the Action is very low, makes it very easy to play. It dosent buzz or bounce.

Absinthe, makes the heart grow fonder...

But the Action is very low, makes it very easy to play. You only say that because you play toybass. You do want to get to a point where you can get some meat under those strings so you can get some sound out of the bad boy.

Hehe, I'm happy for your purchase, but I'm even more thrilled that you have seen the light of the six-string bass. Just enough strings to do a heck-of-a-lot more things but not too many.

Like if you play plain gut strings, it looks like this (on the high side though - tastes vary)

I have a 7 string, I played it exclusively for a bout a year then i got sick of it so i stepped down to a pair of 6 strings that i got for a total of $1900 USD


I hope its not like a heracy(sp?) that i post these here.
