wrecked bass

does anyone have one they would be willing to let go reasonably cheap? Iam working for a luthier(bob riccardi jr.) and would like something to fix up and eventully use at gigs, it would be helping out a 15 year old kid, and helping develop a future luthier who specializes in upright bass

There was a good candidate on e-bay but the reserve was really high. I'm looking for wrecked string instruments of all types that have some potential, DB's mandolins, acoustic guitars as well. Maybe that e-bay one will come back with a more realistic reserve. Even so, the bids were far higher than I would have offered for salvage value, so it isn't just the reserve.

I had my old Kay up f/s a short time ago, but I'm looking at outdoor boat cruise gigs through '08, so I'll be using it.
