yes or no

My old bass is toast, long story, but not worth fixing, it'll cost more than the bass is worth. What about a Christopher 204?
I'm a trumpet player who loves the double bass, but if I've ever got £5000 lying around its going on a horn. I just want a good solid plywood bass that will last me for many years.

Chances are nobody who read the post had any experience with a Christopher 204. Did you find info on that bass, or just lots of info on other plywood basses that won't cost an arm and a leg?

It the Busetto plywood model. I found info on that particular bass, reviews from people who have played them and other Christopher's in general.

Thanks

I bought one for my school's music program several years ago; the bass was fine -- and practically indestructible.
