Amplification?

Is there a certain type of amp you look for EUB that gives the right sound. Or can you use any amp that you all ready use with electric bass?

You'll probably want to choose an amp that's designed for upright bass instead.
Many BG amps are voiced for that instrument.
DB amps are usually flatter, have a more linear response.
But some amps are good doublers, they give good results with both kind of instruments.

I see you have a WM15; it may be fine.
The WM12 is a nice doubler; I had one for years.

Nice day, and thanks for the profile update!

Generally a bass amp with fairly neutral sound works well for upright. Many players prefer to have a lot less low end extension in the amp.
My Nemesis 210 combo worked well (with a little low end cut), and my current Eden 112XLT is even better.
