Another eBay classic "Branson"

I ran across this one on ebay. Researching it through Google I found that it is from China. Although this particular auction doesn't seem to have a reserve price, I saw other auctions of the same instrument have buy it now prices of $699 for a 4 string and $749 for a 5-string.

Anyone ever seen one of these before?

Have also appeared on ebay under the names Blue Note (that one was in blue lacquer) and Spitfire. Sort of NS Design-looking FEBGOAS (fretless electric bass guitar on a stand).

Boy those are some expensive boat paddles. I wonder how they fare on the river.

FEBGOAS, yeah. I always thought it was "on a stick," but yeah. The big problem with this one is the lack of fingerboard arch, so it would be pretty much impossible to play arco. But it's no more or less of an EUB than a Dean Pace or some of the Kydd basses. It's up to you whether it's the right bass for you.
