Anyone knows this EUB? (Harley Benton 500)

Hi, everybody.

I have found this EUB:

http://www.thomann.de/es/harley_bent...ic_upright.htm

Does anyone has any reference about it?

I Know the "brand" is some kind of generic name used by Thomann for their strings instruments, and there is no information across the net about it.

If anyone have bought or play this, please comment.

Thanks.

that appears to be a Palatino EUB clone, your probably better off getting a Palatino than that clone, you'll probably save money and your sanity.

It is a Palatino clone, and I bought one.
It sucked rocks, very uncomfortable.
I sold it, was very happy to get rid of it.
Then I bought the Ergo and was really happy.

Ergo:new $650+new strings $100+ preamp $50. total:$800

Palatino: new $700+new strings$100+ new bridge $100+ some other pickup when stock dies $100 + preamp $100 finger board fix and neck shaping $200
total so far $1400 for decent Paly. at this price point you might as well save up a little more cash and by a real DB or if you got one of those already an Azola Bugbass.

So IMO run away from the Palatino as fast as you can.

Ive played one. It is extremely uncomfortable. The back of the neck in particular bothered me. I suppose it may be useful because of its size and weight, but otherwise i would not buy one.

I didn't expect too much. I just think it for rehearsals, it's very cheap in Europe. I don't plan to use EUB on stage.

Well, I think it's decent if you need to travel a lot and practice along including with a bow.
It has a good sound ONLY if you plug it into a good amp (ie Acoustic 470).
I bought it second hand with a bow for 250 euros 2 months ago.

It s a practice devise only for me. I won't sell it.
