Bassix basses from England.....

Hi everybody!
I'm new to the forum but I've been reading it for a while.
First congratulations and thanks, it is a very helpful place to go.
I wanted to know if someone had played the the New Tech basses from Bassix(http://www.bassix.net/range.php).
Reviews are wonderful but I can't neither find opinions in this forum or clips to listen to.
Thanks in advance.
Julianson.

Try asking some of the folk here:

http://www.basschat.co.uk

I am fairly sure there are some who own and gig with Bassix EUBs there. I have only ever read very positive reports on these.

The whole composite contruction sounds pretty interesting, I have to say. And with it weighing just over 11 pounds, quite possibly the lightest EUB on the market.

I have an older model Bassix, and have used it quite a bit to very positive reviews. I found the g string to be a bit too fretless sounding, but on the whole it's pretty close to a db for an eub. It balances differently than a regular db, but for me it feels much better than any of the eubs with that arm/spacer thingy, which I really can't stand. I don't use it so much now since I got a second double bass for gigs.

You can see and here it here, if you want http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...deoID=38108985
