Question Bolt-on EUB question

What screws should I use to attach the neck to the body of my EUB? The (ash)neck heel is tapered- 1 3/4" - 2" thick. The (mahogany)body is 1 1/8" thick at the neck pocket. I'd also like to use individual washers, ala Warwick, as opposed to a Fender-style plate. Any suggestions or sarcastic comments are appreciated.

Go run a search in the BG luthiers forum, there's been some threads on this topic. A lot of guys are using threaded inserts with good results too.

I think this is the way to go, I used a fender-plate on mine and wasn't all the thrilled about it. You can get the "washers" here.
