BSX T series anyone?

Has anyone ever tried a BSX Tseries EU? How would you describe the sound? And at $1500, is it a good bass? If you had one would you ever consider upgrading? I'm looking for good solid bass I will never have to upgrade again. So would it fit me? I've never had an EU so this would be myfirst venture into the world of Upright! See ya thanks in advance.

BSX T Series

Very nice instrument.
Very full tone, nice growl oe mwaaaaah if you prefer.
Falls short of a double bass sound in that it does not produce tha acoustic "kick" of an acoustic.
It also has too much sustain to be mistaken for an acoustic.
I now play a deArmond ashbory which is just the opposite. nice "boom", less sustain.

Its a trade off but neither really sound like a double bass.
