Cello bow? violin bow? on 30" Kydd EUB

I recently acquired a 30" scale Kydd EUB from a fellow TB'r. I was delighted to see that he tossed in a bow.

Im a fretless electric bass player and bought the EUB to get into some new sounds.

This may be obvious to some but my question is what's the best bow choice for an instrument of this scale?

The bow that came with the bass appears to be a basic student violin bow. I went and picked up a cello bow based on the premise that this bass has a similar scale.

I find the shorter bow is very easy to maneuver. Im never going to play orchestral music (i play with a singer songwriter) nor is it likely I'm ever going to graduate to anything bigger than an NS Bass Cello.

Should I stay with a smaller bow or work on adjusting to the cello size?

Is there an advantage to a larger bow?

heh...I use a violin bow on my NS Upright, gives my violin player girlfriend lotsa laughs.

I don't bow a lot, and it does work, in fact I was complimented on the sound, but real DB players give me dirty looks..

(I'd stay with the violin bow...)

since real bassists (both electric and double) laugh at me on a regular basis i'm not concerned with their disdain

I'm tempted to stay with the shorter bows.
