Changing strings on NS EUB

I am soon going to put a new set of strings on my Ned Steinberger CRM 4-string EUB.

Is it okay to change the strings while I have the bass mounted on the tripod stand? This seems like a handy way to support the bass while I'm changing the strings, and I can't think of how else to do it.

For you NS owners, is this how you change the strings?

I don't think it matters - but personally I found it awkward to do this leaving it on the stand and I took it off and basically treated the body as a large BG.

So I sat it on my lap and turned it in my hands (supporting it with my legs) as necessary.

I found it pretty easy to do though - much easier than a real DB!!

Thanks for the advice, Bruce. Makes sense to me.
