Is that just a sordid fantasy???????

Or does somebody actually have evidence?

The Most economical Ive found is the Aria... I don't count the Dean since it is so short on the scale front!

yeah the dean is horrible, imo. I dunno about economical, I would say the NS Design WAV bass is prolly your best bet, but I dunno if the WAV comes in 5 strings.
