G-string issue

I'm having lots of fun playing my Paulin EUB, but lately the G-string has sounded a bit weak. Not sure if something's changed or I'm just expecting more now that I'm getting used to the instrument.
I have Helicore light pizz strings at the moment. I'm happy with the sound in general, especially the big fat low end.
Any suggestions for a G that will sound a bit stronger?

You could get the medium or the heavy gauge one?
