is this a good bass for a beginner?

Palatino Stand-Up Bass with carry bag, stand, bow, bridge mounted pickup for amp. 2 additional sets of strings and other assessories. In very good condition.

Ive been playing electric bass for about 19 years, and am wanting to learn jazz/upright. Ive got a great teacher lined up.

I figure for the price and what all comes with it, it will be good to start with....

The owner has taken good care of it, and is just too old to lug it around anymore.

All thoughts and answers are appreciated.
