I need info on a good EUB.

HI,
I'm a newbie here but have been playing bass for 47 years.
In my youth, I lived in England and played with the English cult band, Curved Air, alongside Stewart Copeland on drums.
I had my own studio in the 80's and then went straight and played for fun so as not to starve to death.

I am looking for the best possible EUB.
I am getting a small settlement in mid December, I hope, and I want one. But it has to be very user friendly. 4 strings only.
And a very low action as my right hand was impaled in a job site accident. My hand tends to cramp up on me.
I currently play a 1980 Schecter fretless made of 100% Brazilian rosewood. A gorgeous instrument with a bottom that won't quit. I owned an electric Dobro upright of which there were only a dozen made from 1986-2003. The Dobro was made in the mid 1970's.
I had to get rid of it as I was in a skydiving accident that almost killed me and the bass was too heavy.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good EUB that won't be more than a house payment?

Thanks,
Phil

There are a few EUB's listed in the TB DB classifieds right now. Yamaha, Azola and NS, check them out.

I have a Clevenger Bennett Bass (check out their web site). It is in excellent condition. If it interests you contact me at pairoducs@yahoo.com

You may have better luck posting this in the forum specifically for EUBs....

Hi Phil!

An overview of most EUBs of the past and present You can get here: http://ebass.nl/models/ . If an EUB is user friendly depends most of the setup and the strings.

Thomas

P.S. I love Curved Air - and do You know what Darryl Way is doing now?

I have a Clevinger and a BSX Allegro. Both are good instruments, but, given what you've said about your physical issues, the BSX might be a better choice.
