Newcomer to EUB questions.

Hey everyone. I've been trying to find the answers to some questions on here, but haven't stumbled on the right thread.

Quick history.. Started on string bass in orchestra and jazz band in highschool, switched to bass guitar after graduation (13 years ago.. wow), and have recently wanted to purchase some kind of upright bass.

Questions..
1. I used to play a 3/4 size bass in highschool (sometimes a 4/4), but what EUB is equal in fretboard length to those? I recently tried a Dean Pace, but the note spacing seemed all off from what I remember.

2. Do you pick an EUB based on your height? I'm 5'8", so I wasn't sure if there are certain models that would better suit me.

Thanks in advance.

-Derrick

Most EUBs come with a 3/4 size bass scale. (around 41.5 inches)
It's usually stated in the specs.

I play seated on a drummer's throne so height is a moot point for me.
It just needs to not be too long!

Ahh.. Thanks for the input. I guess thats why the Dean Pace felt small.. I believe its only 35".

Re: height, my BSX came with an adjustable endpin which is like 2 feet long, so it can adjust to fit nearly any height, standing or seated. I'd imagine it's a common feature, but I don't know it for a fact.
