NS without a stand?

Anybody playing with one of those "move around while you play strap" things instead of being tied to the tripod?

What's it like? How's the angle?etc?

If you search for 'strap' in the EUB forum you will get many results. Here are two threads.

you sling shot strap (or what everthey call it) is actually quite liberating. it really does take a bit of time to get used to but i think it is a well designed idea the get the player away from the tripod. I also own one of the NS end pin stands and absloutly love it. it gives me a bit more movement between me and the bass that the strap. the "upper bout" device adds a great reference point for the natural "lean" that an URB has. i say try either one. the strap does work a bit better on the bass cello that the EUB. i still like it though
