Question Planet violin basses over there?

Does someone have a EUB form Planet violin? How does it work on live shows? Acoustically ok?

their website leaves a lot to desire. I found one of their basses on ebay. the bridge and pickup assembly looks very similar to the Palatino basses. I myself have not played one of these and can only guess that its not of very good quality. any acoustic double bass in that price range is probably made of inferior materials. if you are wanting to go the route of an amplified DB, you should save up your money and get a good entry level DB like a Christopher 100 or Samuel Shen SB80, and get a pickup mounted on it. at the very least you'll get MUCH better acoustic tone and more than likely get a better amplified tone as well. If you aren't too picky about body type and are dead set on an EUB, you should check out the Ergo bass. I have one and its very nice. get some real DB strings for it and you're set. good luck.
