Shipping yamaha SLB

I'm having my dad ship me my Yamaha slb, and i'm wondering the best way to pack it and ship. I'm not at home and i only had it for 1 week before i left so i don't remember too much. Should or can he remove the bridge?? Padding. Ect.... thanks for any input.
