what kind of EUB is best?

I'm going off to Keene State college next year, and the bass program is strictly upright. not a problem, except for the fact that I need to get my hands on an upright before the fall. electric seems the most practical for gigging and portability and such, can anyone point me in the right direction as to which brand and model and whatnot without breaking the bank? $1000 tops...

thanks a lot

Ergo! I nearly bought one before I found my acoustic. They feel great, sound realy good, and Jesse is great to deal with, and he'll answer any questions you have. Check them out at http://planadmin.us/ergo/
Good luck finding a bass!

Check out the threads stickied at the top of the forum page. Read them. That's pretty much going to answer your question. Also re: price/budget, keep your eyes on the TB classifieds, I've seen some good EUB deals now and then.
