where to buy EUB in TOKYO

hi, i live in KOREA and going to visit TOKYO this month.

i plan to buy an EUB during the visit.
i'm not sure which model to buy- maybe something like Eminence, Azola, Bsx allegro. (around $3,000)

if you're in TOKYO, can you tell me where should i look for?
i want to try those models of EUBs.
please give me the informations about the name of the shop, the address of internet site, or some street names to go for.

Arigato.

There was a shop run by Mr. Takasaki, whom I believe provided a DB for the promoters on a tour I did once in Japan. Maybe he does EUBS as well.

Also, on my last trip, there was a shop in the Ginza area that had EUBs. Sorry I can't recall any specifics, I was just walking around Tokyo and came across it.

Eminence and Azola are scarce in Tokyo, BSX basses can be found several places... as well as a number of others.

Musicland in Shibuya has a variety in stock

otherwise head to Ochanomizu there are music shops lining the main street...

Tokyo is a rather large place, any idea where in Tokyo you'll be staying?

As joninjapan said, the Eminence and Azola aren't common in Tokyo shops.

Takasaki's shop may have a Merchant bass in stock, but that'll be it. The best place I know is the Ikebe Rivole shop in Akihabara:

The first floor basement (B1) has a bass specialty shop, and they have a room dedicated to EUB and ABGs and amps for those instruments. They have everything that anyone else has in Tokyo. Another possibility is the Kurosawa Bass Centre in Shin-Okubo:

(There's one in Shibuya too, but it's tiny and focused on electric bass.)

Have fun.

If you take Brent's recommendation to go to the Kurosawa Bass Centre, be sure to check out the AlterEGO basses. I endorse them and totally believe in the instruments. Just got back to Boston from a lovely gig in California and the bass traveled wonderfully, played great, and sounded incredible.

Best,
Rick McLaughlin
