Zeta EUB

Hey Everybody

I've just bought this EUB. I'm not sure of the model. It's got "Zeta Upright" 10/11/93 # 0038. on the inside of the electronic cover plate. Great action and a wonderful fingerboard/neck.

Does anyone have any idea of it's model name or any info about it.

Thanks

JR

That's funny. I think that was the exact bass #38 that I previuosly owned. I bought it on Ebay about five years ago and sold it to a guy in NYC about a year or so later. I found it a bit heavy, but I did like the neck and action as well. I decided I like the way the Eminence bass vibrated better since it's a semi acoustic unlike the Zeta which is solid body.

I forget the name of the model, but it was their top of the line bass at the time retailing for $6K! I think I paid like $1,900 and sold it for $1,750. It has a MIDI port on the bottom which can be used to trigger the Zeta synth modual. I can't remember if mine was #38 or #32.

Can you describe some distinguishing blemishes or features? What did you pay for it?

Hey there

well looking at the bass the bottom right corner is dinged, but apart from that not alot else that is distinguishing. I'm in New Zealand and bought it for about $2200 NZ$. The Zeta pickups are not working overly well but its got a nice Underwood pickup which sounds great. Don't know when it was brought into the country.

I own one...

"Zeta Jazz Standard Uprite"

I don't use it very often, so I am thinking of selling it on the 'bay...

Nice bass, IMHO
