What we have here is an all pre-Ernie Ball Music Man Sting Ray dating to 1980 or 1981 with a Nordstrand MM 4.2 pickup installed.

- String through body, bridge replaced with a later NOS top loader (#B025132 = 1982).
- Original preamp, later non-epoxy dipped pre-Ernie Ball unit
- Body was drilled for a 4 bolt neck at one time. Holes have been professionally doweled and touched up (see last pic) without full refin so all the body's mojo remains intact.
- The neck is a 3 bolt with poly finish and is pristine with no extra holes and original frets in excellent condition.
- Nordstrand MM4.2 installed. Original pickup has been sold.
