I've GOT to sell this bass and am just looking to get what I paid for it last week when I bought it from a fellow TB'er.
This is the last chance to make an offer before it goes to ebay!
I'll keep this thread open until Midnight (Eastern), then I'll close it down.
PM or post a reply if anyone is interested.
2002 Fender MIM Deluxe Zone Bass V (5-string) that is in MINT condition. I just got it last week, but realize I'm stretched a bit too thin financially, so I've got to let it go. This was going to be my "mess around" bass, but because I've decided to stick to my jazzes, I can't afford to keep one that I won't be gigging with.
For those not familiar with the Zone, it is basically a continuation of the Fender Precision Bass Lyte line and was made from 2000-2006. A slightly smaller body than a standard, weighs about 8-9 lbs.
It is all Fender stock. American split coil P pickup & noiseless J pickup. Can be strung through the bridge or through the body for increased resonance. Also has the tilt neck feature of more expensive Fenders.
It has passive pickups, but an active onboard equalizer (treble, mid--yes, mids!, & bass), a pan pot to dial in just the right mix of P vs. J pickup, and a master volume. It has the smaller (and smoother, to me) Gotoh tuners. It currently has some nickle-plated roundwounds on it (can't remember which brand--D'Addario?). Frets show no wear.
I got this from a fellow TB'er and it is a beauty! Great color! No dings, gouges, scratches, chips, dents, etc. There is a little scuffing on the P neck pickups from the previous owner (pick marks?), but that is it.
It will come packed in a Fender gig bag and shipped in a well padded box.
$450 obo, shipped to ConUS
