Thumbs up ** F/S American Fender Precision Bass w/Moses Jazz Neck ++ **

Sign in to disble this ad
Let's try this again with a lower price:

Got a really nice '96 American Fender Precision that I cant justify keeping given that it's been sitting in the corner for the last couple of months without seeing much playing time. This one is definitely worthy of a lot more.

Currently installed is a bad*ss Moses Jazz neck*, Lindy Fralin pickup, Hipshot bridge and tuners, Schaller straplocks, black pearloid pickguard and DR Black Beauties. Will also include SD SPB-2 pickup, Fender HSC, original bridge, hardly used Thomastik Infelds & Ken Smith Slick Rounds, as well as some pickguards (although it's hard to beat the black pearloid!).

*Moses neck has a birch fretboard with black dye, absolutely gorgeous.

This one sounds great, plays extremely well, and if your first gig with this baby doesn't get you some compliments I will personally find you new bandmates.

$750 $700 shipped & insured OBO. Mostly F/S because I could use the cash, but I'm always interested in effects/synths/cool gear, so feel free to shoot me a trade offer as well!

Pics:

P.S. From previous owner, regarding the changes made to the bass:
"I replaced the bridge with a Hipshot A bridge, the tuners with Hipshot tuners, and the pickup with a Lindy Fralin Pickup. "The Process" involved filling in the through-body ferrules, since the A bridge had to be moved a bit further south than the standard bridge, but of course they could be drilled out again."
Let me know if you have any questions

- Carl

That looks so... familiar :)

My... what an attractive bass

BUMP!

(I assume Mr. Moddy is stealing your time away from the Black Beauty? Having two smooth basses is one of the better problems to have!)

Haha, thanks Bruce!

You're absolutely right, I haven't been able to put the Moddy down. It's definitely a luxury problem, even though I'm still struggling to call it a 'problem'..

Hope you're doing well man

That's a novel way of selling a bass... offering band-matching services in trade for the bass There are PLENTY of people who wouldn't mind a guaranteed band change! Of course, you never said anything about the "quality" of the new band-mates... "Yeah, the new guys LOVE my tone. They couldn't play their way out of a wet paper bag, but they have EXCELLENT taste!"

Update: Moses neck has been sold separately. Still have the bass with the original neck, but think I will hold onto it for a while. Thanks for the interest guys
