I'm kinda on the fence about this, I've posted it before but took it down. This has been my main bass since I got it in 1997, but the last two years, I have been only playing my EBMM's.... I have my eye on something else so I am ready to sell this.
It's a 1996 Fortress Masterman, made in Germany, all wenge neck, maple body. Color is a greenish teal.

Comes with : OHSC (in good condition, latches work, some scratching and bumps on it), owner's user Kit, un-installed Just-a-nut III, 4 of the old tuners.
I'd rate the bass cosmetically a 7 out of 10 (it's probably a bit better than that, but I'm just being real critical and want to give full disclosure). It has some dings and scratches, I have photographed the most noticeable ones. The electronics work the way the are supposed to with no issues. I had the barrel jack replaced about 4 years ago and I replaced the tuners about 3 years ago with Gotohs. Neck is straight and the frets are decent, they could stand to get dressed and a couple replaced. The 3rd and 5th fret at the B string show use, the rest look typical of long time use, there is no fret buzz though....
If you haven't heard these before they have a great deep sound with the twin J pickups. This model is discontinued and this one has the rare "Fortress Masterman" truss cover.
I'm pricing this for a quick sale:
$ 600 shipped to US lower 48 only Paypal Only ** EDIT ** to address a question I was asked a couple times, this does NOT have the brass nut. When i bought it, it came with a graphite one, but I am including a new graphite Just-A-Nut III that I never got around to installing. Also, my band plays 1/2 step down-tuned so I had this professionally set up for that tuning..just FYI...so when you get it, it will be lower tuned than normal..
Attachment 189721 Attachment 189720 The only trade I'd be looking at would be an Epiphone EB-3 5 string obviously with some $ on your end.........
