**cancelled** Dingwall AB-1 for your bass plus cash

OK guys,

I am not sure I even want to do this, but I am in a bit of a financial crisis and I think I have to at least try. I am thinking of trading my beloved Dingwall for your 5-string (no 4 strings) plus cash. It an Amberburst 5 string with alder body and flame maple top, FD-3 pickups and the usual Dingwall features. It looks exactly like the one in my avatar (which I lifted from Dingwall's website) and is in great condition. The previous owner installed a strap hole for a bass brace on the bottom, but it is done well and completely invisible from the front. It also appears that the signature on the headstock was smudged a little, but its still 90% there. I will try to post pics if I get enough interest. Here are the basses I would consider trading for:

Music Man (Bongo5 or SR5)
Lakland (prefer 55-02 or DJ5, would consider JO5, no 55-01)
Spector (Euro LX or similar)
Fender Am. Dlx. (prefer P, but open to J)
Other basses of similar value.

If I were going to sell the Dingwall for cash, I would ask $1450 + shipping which would include a hard case AND a gig bag, some case candy and the wrenches from Dingwall to make adjustments to anything. I am only doing this because I need cash so I am not interested in straight up trades or trades for basses of higher value. I would rather trade than sell, but would be willing. Paypal OK. Dont do it man!! I've owned or played all of the basses you mentioned. Do anything, cut people out of your holiday shopping list

Well, its not much of an option at this point. Maybe I am just not meant to own such fine craftsmanship. Believe me, I have obsessed over this for a while. I would keep it if I could. If I wind up with any of the above, it will be hard to complain about it. I will be trying to own one again someday for sure though.

Well, after a few really good offers, my situation changed and it looks like I am going to be able to keep this after all. Thanks to everyone who made an offer, but I'm thrilled that I was able to hang on to this.
