**Fender Mustang Bass 66 Reissue CIJ w/HSC**

As much as I hate to do this, I'm selling my beloved Japanese Mustang reissue. It's that time of year and I need money more than I need basses right now. I'm asking $575 shipped (case included) anywhere in the CONUS. It's never been gigged and only taken out of the house twice.

This one has a few minor mods. It has chrome barrel knobs instead of the usual black plastic jazz-style knobs, a Fender limited edition neck plate, and Schaller strap locks.

It also has a set of Hipshot Ultralight tuners to help with neck dive (a common problem on these basses).

The 3 pics above were taken during the mod process, so that's why the neck plate is not screwed in and there's plastic bags on the tuners. The bass you receive will be setup and ready to play. I have a generic tweed hardshell case that I'll throw in as well (not shown in the pictures).

I will miss this thing... it's a great bass.

BTW, if you like this bass, check out my custom Highway 2 bass which is also for sale HERE.

I forgot to add... Any 'reasonable' offer will be considered.

Nice deal, looks interesting.
Wasn't '66 the first year of the mustang though?
I didn't know there were any 65's
Is there a type-o?
that part was confusing me s little
Thnx

I'm aggressive about selling, so don't be shy about making an offer. I'm leaving it up here for a few more days, then it's going to the bay.

Apologies for cluttering up the thread (consider it a free bump), but it's interesting to note that at various times in the past few years Fender has advertised the Mustang Bass as both a '65 Reissue and a '64 Reissue. So even though they were first made in '66, many people advertise them used this way too. I would guess that Fender cut/pasted copy from the Mustang guitar....

I'm pretty sure I sold them but I'll need to double check when I get home tonight. If I do still have them, I'll go ahead and include them, but you won't want to go back... trust me.
