*FT: Sonic Blue Fender Franken-Jazz. Audere, Blocks/Binding...Hi res Pics inside..*

Ok, so try as I might, Jazz necks just arent for me. What I have here is an absolute beauty and I hate to see her go. This bass features a MIM Jazz body that was refinished in Sonic Blue (by TB's own Bob Westbrook) and mated to a CV Jazz neck. Upgrades include:

* an Audere preamp

* Stewmac Golden Age Vintage Vibe Jazz Pickups

* A high-mass bridge of unk. brand (a Gotoh 201 perhaps?)

The bass looks, plays, and SOUNDS great! For full disclosure, the paint was a rattle-can job, but a damn good one. She shines like Shaq's head in the 4th quarter of a playoff game, and I get more compliments on this one than any of my other basses. There are a few chips/dents here and there, but nothing that I could get to photograph. The Bass looks much darker in the pics than it really is. In person, it's much closer to Sonic Blue (or maybe Sea Foam Green). I have attached a few of Bob Westbrook's original pics from when I bought it (for a more accurate color depiction). For the right deal, I will also include the Mighty Mite Maple neck that was in it when I bought it (if you're not into the whole B/B look). And yes, I added the 60's Fender Waterslides to the headstocks of both necks...I did'nt laquer over them, so it's easy to remove if you want.

What I'm looking for:

1. A MarkBass LMIII...or maybe a LMII if the deal is right

2. Maybe one of those new GK 2x10 combos

3. If you have an American P in butterscotch blonde..we could chat on that.

US Only...sorry
Thanks!

what kind of pickguard is that? I've never seen one like it before.

The pick guard is painted with a paint called "antique bronze" which dries and gives the effect of old hammered bronze. It's pretty neat!

Looks nice with the new neck! But I can't decide if I like the look of the plain maple neck better?

Who did this go to?

I'm the current owner and its already back on the market. I bought it to try an Audere preamp, and I'm not really an active guy.
