*HIGH RES PIX* Fender Highway One P Bass, burst,MAPLE neck, Upgraded, under 8lbs!

*******.....PICS ADDED BELOW!*******

I bought this bass about a year ago off of TB and it has been my main gigging bass. It was put together by the original owner to be light, and it certainly is; coming in at -just- under 8lbs. It features a 2008 Fender Highway 1 body in sunburst, a 2008 Fender mim Maple neck (which fits the body like a glove...incredibly tight neck pocket.) Fender '62 reissue pups, CTS pots, orange drop cap, and vintage cloth wiring. The bass also has a Fender vintage bridge, ashtray, and Hipshot tuners. The entire bass is incredibly resonant and "alive" (as lame as that sounds). Why am I trading it? Because I'm an idiot, and GAS is a cruel mistress.

What I'm looking for:

A Markbass LMIII

GK MB210 or 212 combo

Interesting 4 string basses...and other heads, but primarily the top 2

The bass is currently wearing a greasy groove PG, but I also have a w/b/w one. The tort is gone. It is in great shape, save for some shining in the forearm contour, and a small chip about 1/4 inch in length at the same area. Slight swirling on the back, but it is in excellent condition for a Highway-1, and we buy em because they age anyway, right? Let me know what ya got!!

Um, Plastic?

If you mean the design, its from a pulp novel from the 50s called "The Valley Of Creation" which were from a series that I believe was called "Amazing Stories".

greasygroove.com has a lot of custom pick guards featuring their artwork.

My pleasure. Will be taking this to practice tomorrow night. The lads will get a shock when the '72 does not come out of the bag! Sounds great with these chromes. My first set. The pickguard is a hoot.
