SOLD
I want to sell this bass, but I have no case for it right now. So I'm going to try and sell it locally for now. I'd hate to ship this in a cardboard box alone, although I received it that way (a box in a box).
Epi Ripper, obviously with an added G&L MFD wired in series, in the bridge position - I thought the J pup wasn't very usable and saw the route under the pickguard was big enough to leave it untouched.
How does it sound? Punchy, resonant, and very piano-like, due to its' thin maple body. The MFD only seems to amplify these qualities, and gives it a nice aggressive midrange growl. I still have the old pickup, but you would need to get a new pickguard for it.
I tried to show a nick on the bottom of the body - besides that, there's just minor scratches on the pickguard, and the bass is in really nice shape.
I'll include some clips of this bass later, so people can hear what the MFD sounds like on this bass.
Why am I selling this bass? I play my Ric full-time, and this bass and the Ric share similar sonic territory. If you are local, make me an offer, but I really don't need another bass right now. All the pictures are of the same bass - my friend takes better pics than me, so the crappy ones are the ones I took.
Asking 250.00 for it.
Here's a soundclip of this bass, recorded direct through my Tech 21 Leeds pedal:
