For sale is a Warwick Fortress I Fretless 4-string (Yes, German-made, not a Rockbass).
I really love this bass but I'm moving to Haiti in a few short months to do long-term mission work and need to get rid of everything for storage and cash purposes. So, ALL of my basses and amps, besides my main MTD 635, are being sold.
This bass has a gorgeous sound, very light weight (compared to the other Warwicks I've played/owned, and fantastic tone.
It has loads and loads of mwah fretless tone, a very nice choppy Jaco-ish bridge tone, and a very solid, unobtrusive P-bass-ish sound with the P Pickups soloed. The active electronics need to be used with taste because there is lots of headroom, especially with the bass boost. If you want more low end, it's there!
Another cool feature is the volume knob can be pulled up to disengage active eletronics.
This bass is in perfect working condition but definitely what I'd call "lovingly gigged." There are a good bit of scratches and small dings on the body. I've photographed them all well.
