Selling my 2005 Fender American Jazz with S-1 switching. The switch is a button on the first volume knob that allows you to run the pickups in series or parallel. Includes Fender hard-shell case, and playing magic.

The bass is very clean with just a few scratches in the clear coat and some minor swirling, it looks fantastic and the neck has some cool grain in it. Plays like a dream with low action, I haven't set it up so I won't guarantee the intonation will be on. If it's a deal breaker I'll do it before I ship it although I don't have a strobe now so it will be as close as the TU-2 can get.

9 1/2 lbs on my digital bathroom scale.

I play my 5 string exclusively and I recently decided to stop playing in 3 of the 4 bands so I am going to par down to one of everything.

It's beautiful! You're just selling it because you don't use it much compared to your 5 string? It looks like you haven't even played it lol I'm guessing you purchased this baby new?

I played it for a bit when I first bought it but I've never played in a band that didn't require the low B so it is a low mileage baby for sure. Yet I must reiterate; it is not mint.(I don't think anyone should say a bass is mint, even ones hanging in the store usually aren't)

This one looks and plays killer and I didn't want to sell for that reason, so I bought a Hipshot D-tuner (here on TB) and tried it. I had it on for about an hour and decided I'm done playing 4 strings, so here she is.

I'll be selling my 95 P bass for the same reason.

I want to say again, it does look almost perfect in the pics, it is super clean, but I don't want anyone mislead that it's "mint" or "could pass as new" or any of that because it's a 2005 model and I did play it, ever so little and when you play a black instrument you always see it. I have a 2010 Les Paul that I've carefully played a handful of times and you can tell.

Anyway the S1 is cool and you can get some P thump with it as well.
