This has been my main bass since
March when I picked it up from another TB'er late April when I got it back from a local tech. I would rate this a strong 8 cosmetically. This has been a players bass and standard wear is to be expected, so it has a few small dings, all luckily on the back side, the top is next to flawless. The dings can be seen in the pics, along with a minor scratch on the neckplate. Everything is in great condition otherwise.
Bass comes with a black PG. I'll include the tort PG for extra and I'll still include the black PG.
It does have some upgrades that you won't get new with this bass, a Fender HSC for one. Although the hinges are fine and it closes no problem, for some reason it has a slight gap near a hinge which can also be seen in the pics. Regardless, it still does it's job just fine.
The other is the upgraded electronics, 2 linear CTS pots for the 2 volumes and an OEM Fender USA analog pot with .22mf cap for tone.
I have also shielded all the pickup and control cavities and PG with aluminum tape and checked all points for continuity. PUPs are as silent as singles can get.
Last week I just put on a brand new set of DR SS lo riders 105s and also set up relief/action/intonation.
A chrome neck PUP cover and chrome thumbrest are part of the deal also. I even have the owner's manual and polishing cloth.
I thought this was going to be the last bass I bought for awhile.......shows what I know. Although I have loved this bass, I want a different jazz with a satin neck and regular frets. Plus I'm gasing for a Lakland and I've seen a few floating around that I am having a hard time resisting. I wouldn't even be considering a sale if this bass had the right frets and neck finish. I LOVE the blocked and bound neck!
I also have a set of Nordstrand NJ4s that I'll include for extra. I bought these back in March also. This is a tone monster with the Nordies! You will still get the stock PUPs, and the Nordies are in the bass right now, so save me the trouble and buy the PUPs too.

I will consider trades for other 4 string jazz basses with satin necks and vintage or med jumbo frets. I would also be interested in a Warwick Corvette with the oil finish and all wenge neck. All of course with cash on my end if the right bass comes along.
I would love a local deal to the NVA/DC/MD/Winchester area, but I will ship at the buyers expense. I actually have a box from MF that I received by gigbag in so I will pack with bubble wrap and peanuts and ship in it.
