I have decided to let my 52 P bass go. I started to sell it a little over a year ago due to my dog's surgery. Luckily, many people from the TB community stepped up to help me out financially to pay for my vet bill. For that, I am eternally grateful. This time, I am selling the bass because I have purchased another P Bass which I have become more fond of than the 52. However, I hope someone here can pick it up and give it a good home. Here's the rundown on the bass:
When I first bought it, the finish was stripped and coated with a bad 70s clear coat. It also had a Badass bridge installed and a Laguna pickup.
Luckily, the original bridge, and bridge cover was in the case. So I reinstalled the bridge. I also sent the bass to RS Guitarworks in Kentucky for an accurate refin. So it is now back to original blonde. It looks a little lighter than what I'm familiar with, but they told me that over time it will darken to the standard color.
I also purchased a 1968 Telecaster bass pickup that had never been installed. RS Guitarworks installed the pickup at the same time they put the bass back together before shipping it back to me. Currently, I have a Fralin split coil installed, but will include the 68 Tele pickup along with the bass.
Here is what I know is original:
Body
Neck/Logo
Tuners
Pickguard
Bridge
Knobs
Finger Rest/ Tugbar
Here is what I'm not sure is original (but could be):
Frets
Pots
Nut
And the things I know are not original:
Finish
Pickup
Case
Looking for $6000 shipped in the USA. Please PM me with any questions you may have |

Just bought a custom shop jazz and an AVRI P bass, otherwise I would be in friendly debate with Mrs.B right now over this... |

Coming from someone who is always trying to go the budget route on 50's P Basses, this is like looking at The Holy Grail.
Wish I had $6K just sitting around.

| | | | Sup dude?
So was the pickup hole routed out at one time or is it original wood?
Any interest in a 1984 Emanuel Wilfer Upright Bass valued at $7,000.00 to $9,000.00? |
