Yes, you read that right.
Here's the breakdown. It's a bit of a Frankenstein, but it works great. Vintage pre-CBS 1965 Precision Body with an old Fiesta Red refinished, around 30 years old, so vintage refin in nitro. Real light and resonant, as you'll hear and feel difference of the aged wood.
The neck is an early 80s Fullerton 62 reissue, so also about 30 years old. Gorgeous dark rosewood board with original reverse tuners. Finish has been removed for a smooth feel. Pro setup, plays evenly and intonated. (There was a little "ski-jumping" but I got my tech (MO!) to fix it real nice).
As for the rest of the parts, currently sporting a Gotoh 201 bridge (a little more solid than a vintage bridge without adding too much mass), an Aguilar pickup (great vintage reproduction with a bit more bottom), Noble pots, switchcraft jack, new Fender tortoiseshell pickguard. Very reminiscent of the Pino Palladino signature P-Bass, though a LOT cheaper and somehow more authentic to me.
Light at 8 lbs 3 oz.
Would rather not part it out, nor can I do any trades at this time (car got stolen!). I can show you all the threads that show it to be genuine (All from Talkbass!). Includes new Fender SKB TSA-approved case.
The pics I have were from the last incarnation, but I will get more recent ones soon.
Thanks for looking. $1350 + shipping
(1962 penny to make it more authentic)
