1967 Gibson EB2 Hollowbody Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Killer bass from 1967. Gibson EB2. One pickup model. All original and comes with original chipboard case which is not functional. It is only good for storing as it is falling apart.

The sunburst is beautiful and the bass is strung with flats. It gives the biggest sound I have ever heard.
The serial number on the back of the head does not match the hand written number on the orange label. I don't know if this is normal but thought I would mention it. It is definitely all original though.

$1900 shipped. (Price lowered to $1700shipped)

I've already got mine, a '67 in Cherry, but somebody should act sooner than later on this bass. It can do that "Dark Cloud" thing like no other!

I made a video you can see here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HmGhSAi_zA

Just a note that the camera's mic doesn't pick up the low end of the bass. When I press the bass boost button, the volume sounds like it drops out, but it just doesn't come through clearly. But you can get a general idea of the normal tone.

I have always thought that the deep boosted sound was the normal sound and the push button that makes it sound like a baritone guitar was the special. I always used the deep sound and it is fantastic, Strange you still have not sold it.
