1972 Fender Jazz Bass - 100 Original - Sunburst/Rosewood/Pearl Blocks/White Binding

SOLD!

Early 1972 Fender Jazz Bass in Original Sunburst Finish
100% Original and Complete
Includes Both Chrome Covers, Thumbrest, and the Original Hardshell Case!

First things first.. this bass plays and sounds excellent.. but it definitely isn't very hard on the eyes either! It's in really great shape for a 41 year old. There's a few dings and scratches here and there. I've photographed everything significant. The back of the neck is really smooth and basically ding-free (except for maybe one or two really tiny ones). There's some belt buckle rash by the neckplate. It's a MOJO machine.

Serial #: 344XXX (dates to '72)
All 3 pots have the code 304-7205 (5th week of '72).
Both pickups are coded to '72 also (see pics).
No neck code visible, but it has the '69-72 original tuners (without the circled "R"), so it's an early 1972.
All the hardware, screws, pickguard, and every part on this bass is original.
Please look at all the "under the hood" pics in the photo album link below.

The neck is nice and straight and feels incredible.
Truss rod works fine.
Original frets are still near perfect.
The action is nice and low, no dead spots.
The bass is lightweight at right under 9 lbs. on the bathroom scale.

The input jack buzzes a little if you jump around with the cord just dangling out of it. But just pinch the cord in your strap and it's fine. The PO made a little "dugout" on the body to adjust the truss rod (see pics). I don't think it's any worse than the screwdriver gouges that most vintage Fenders have, lol, I think it looks better. The original case is in decent shape except for the hooks on both of the outer latches are broken off so only the middle one works. It will ship with a bungee cord around the case and it will be packed very well.

$3150 OBO Shipped (CONUS)
Paypal Accepted.
Shipping will be insured for the purchase price and will include a tracking #.

Don't be afraid to make me an offer!

Let me call Geddy and let him know about this one.
I seem to have lost his number, can someone PM it to me? Thanks
