Vintage 1972 Fender Jazz Bass Neck
4-Bolt, Maple w/ Black Binding & Blocks
100% Original w/ No Modifications, No Issues
Loaded Neck - Includes Tuning Keys/Hardware & String Tree
This 41 year old neck is awesome! An authentic, vintage "Geddy Lee" neck.. even made in the same year as his!!
Original finish, decal, binding, blocks, nut, tuners.. everything is original.
Original frets have tons of life left.
It's in great condition with only minor knicks and scratches. Nothing deep enough to notice while playing. It has some nice finish checking on the headstock and would be a good match for a vintage body that shows moderate playing wear.
NO extra screw holes, NO cracks, NO repairs, NO mods.
This neck was taken off an original 1972 Fender Jazz bass (serial #: 372XXX). There's no date code visible, but the heel is stamped "C Regalado" (a known Fender employee in the early '70s). These black black maple necks weren't made after 1973, so with the skunk stripe on the back, this neck is period correct for any '71 to early '74 Fender Jazz Bass.
This neck is completely issue-free. It's very straight, the truss rod works fine and it's still flush with the end of the neck. It sets up beautifully with really low action and no dead spots. It feels and plays as good as a vintage Jazz neck gets (with lots of room for future adjustments).
Nice, thin profile, "A" neck so it's 1.5" at the nut. Very fast, very comfy.
These necks aren't so easy to find anymore and they're highly collectable. This one plays exceptionally well.
