1972 Fender Jazz Black and Maple with Black Blocks 4-Bolt

Sign in to disble this ad
The bad:

2 P-routes! One expertly filled and the other hidden under pguard (hey just cut into the guard if you want a no remorse PJ)

Tone pot replaced, IIRC

New pickguard

Non-original plastic hard case

Bought bass with Fralins(I don't have them anymore), replaced with 73-74 Jazz pickups (end with "374" opinions vary on what that means, owner swears it was from a '73)

Good:

Original finish and frets
Plays and sounds great
Everything else aside from pickups dates to 1972

Shown with straplocks, but I put the original strap buttons back on. Also, that wire was grounding for awhile, but now it's proper.

$2000 Shipped
NO TRADES, please don't even ask

More stuff from a recent PM I sent:

Took it to a luthier a few weeks ago since I was thinking about selling it. Straight neck, doesn't need anything. No noises with pots, sold the Fralins, forgot to mention in the post that the E string saddle has one screw that needs to be turned from the bottom since half of the head of the philips screw broke off. I could replace with a MIM saddle but why bother, it turns easily enough.

Instead of putting "bump" I'm putting "No Trades" from now on, for some reason people keep on asking

will trades for $2000 cash be entertained? Sorry Dave, I had to! I get that all the time man. Even if I put "NO TRADES" in caps, large, red font, people still ask.
