This weekend only $900! '73 Gibson Ripper

$900. Currently sporting a Hipshot bridge. Original included as well. Functionally in good shape with very low action and low frets. One tuner bent but works well. Front strap lock moved to heel.

Unfortunately, note names were sharpied on the fretboard at some point. Haven't tried hard to get the off for fear of hurting the finish. Also autographed by Jack Casady on the back of the headstock.

Now here's the deal: I need money plain and simple. I had a hip replacement over the winter and just never have yet recovered financially. If I didn't need the bucks, I wouldn't be selling. So if you are going to make a trade offer, the only things I'd consider are something that would likely sell more quickly and for substantially more than I could sell the Ripper for. Other than those parameters and I'm looking for good old American greenbacks.

Oh, thanks. It was the band he was with at the time... early 80s. A couple of relative kids back then. Definitely not Jorma or anyone. /lol

the other signatures are, at top, the late Brian Marnell, and bottom, Paul Zahl. The band was SVT.

Well, not COMPLETELY different. Airplane, yes. Kesey, no. /lol Here is the link should anyone want to delve further: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Casady Something still doesn't quite add up though in that wikipedia only references the SVT era as four piece incarnations and I swear it was only 3 that night as witnessed by my headstock. Anyway, thanks for the info on SVT! Obviously, I was not a fan... not even THAT big on the Airplane era. The original Hot Tuna was what turned me into a fan. To inject a little more controversy, I'm PRETTY sure I've seen pictures of Jack playing a Ripper and I THINK he said as much that night when we were hanging out. (I was the mains sound guy.) But... there are many details of that time period that escape me... let's leave it at that.

SVT became a trio after Nick Buck left in 1981.

It is understood around here that a listed price includes domestic shipping, right? That's what I was thinking with my prices, but if not, I'll lower them. I've seen some ads lately that list as X + shipping, but I thought that was against the rules?
