Guild
JS-II, made in 73. It's a short scale, made of Mahogany and has a rosewood fretboard - frets show minimal wear. 2 huge Guild humbuckers give it a very deep, old school sound - all of the electronics work perfectly and are quiet. It has the original bridge on it and the rosewood saddles are in good shape - the G saddle had a small piece chip off but it doesn't affect sound or adjustments. A few screws are missing from the back control plate, and the truss rod cover has a small piece chip off. These issues are purely cosmetic.
A few weeks ago I took it to Mouradian Guitars (well known repair shop in MA - search them on Google, excellent place) to give it a full setup and I just got it back the other day. About a month ago I tried to put some really heavy strings on it and the neck didn't like that (most short scale necks won't, I learned...), I was worried I screwed up the neck for good. But I was happy to find that there was no damage - Mouradian worked his magic and straightened things out, gave it a full setup, and now it plays a million times better than it did when I first got it.
I'll be sad to see it go because it is a fun bass to play, but financial obligations force me to sell.
$675 shipped is my lowest price. Not interested in trading.
