1974 Fender Jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is my 1974 Fender Jazz with ohsc. The bass plays and sounds great. Most of the wear on the body is on the outside edges as you can see in the photos. Pickups are original and sound strong, all pots date to 1974, truss rod works in both directions.
If you look on Gbase for prices on the 73-75 Fender Jazz, you'll find that the prices start at 3k and go all the way to 5k. You can have this one for $2,500 shipped conus. I prefer a Paypal E-check or gift and maybe USPS Money Orders. The ONLY trades I'll consider are for an FBass AC5, FBass VF5 (ash/maple) or a Pedulla Nuance 5. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks! Frets have a good amount of life left in them. I dont have a scale to weigh the bass, but I'll try and track down one of my neighbors and use theirs; may take a day or two. As a reference point, this is not an obscenely heavy bass. My guess is between 9-10 lbs. I'll get back to you...

I played this bass the other night -- guys, this is a serious axe and it's priced right. It sounds great, and it's not heavy at all. Maybe 9 - 9.25 lbs? And it's ASH -- most were alder in that era. Good snap, good low end. And a great guy to do business with....
