1974 Fender Jazz bass for sale $3,000 Sunburst rose/pearl blocks 100% original

Up for sale is a 100% original 1974 Fender Jazz bass. Everything is all original except the installed pickguard but I do still have the orig black guard. This is a great example of a sunburst jazz bass with a bound neck with a rosewood fingerboard and pearl block inlays. This bass plays and feels great with tons of mojo and that great Fender vibe.

The finish is almost 100% intact sans a few minor chips in the paint along the bottom edge from sitting in a stand. All the binding is in great shape and all the pots and pickups function as expected. The case is in great shape and all the latches and hinges work great. All the pickup covers are included and are original to the bass.

The action is great on this bass, nice and low and easy to play. The truss rod functions perfectly and there is tons of life left in the frets, this bass hasn't seen much action. I bought this as my dream bass but also as an investment piece, I paid a lot at the time but it was the cleanest one around at the time. This bass is only going up in value so get it while you can!

The finish is a thinner almost nitro finish so the bass is nice and light for a jazz....weighing in around 8.75lbs. It's a slap monster and sounds right at home playing some Larry Graham or James Jamerson.

Would prefer USA sale only but will consider foreign buyer if you make arrangements with me first. I am asking $3,000 or best offer. I prefer a postal or bank money order or certified check for this amount of money and will ship however you prefer.

Thanks and good luck!

Sweet, and under 9lbs. IMO the best of the 70's J's. Good Luck Bump.

Here's some more pictures of the head stock per request and a few more of the overall bass. It also comes with strap locks already installed but I will include the original strap buttons as well.

Thanks for pointing that out, in case no one noticed I have the original guard. I just like the look of the tortoise guard over the black one.

I honestly don't remember, it's been a while since I weighed it but I will do it with the covers on and get an updated weight.
