Hi-
Check out this cool P-Bass. The bass is the lightest 70's P-bass I have owned, by far. It weighs 8lb-5oz.
Scroll down for many photos. The photos tell the story of the condition better than I can in words. This one has seen some miles and has a lot of character.
The bass plays well, looks killer, and sounds great.
As you can see in the photos, a previous owner routed another pickup into the bass under the pickguard. The genius also messed with the neck pocket for unknown reasons (perhaps a new router and an old P-Bass for practice?). Both areas have been filled with a wood filler. Neither area is visible with the pickguard and neck in place, and the filler is stable and works well.
As far as I can tell, the pickguard is the only non-1975 part on this bass. It looks good on the bass.
The potentiometer codes check out as 1975 (1377535 and 1377536). The logo and markings on the neck are consistent with a 1975 bass (maker name R. Bush). The "F" neck plate has the serial number 646709, which places it in 1975. The body has a green stamp in the pickup cavity that is difficult to read (dominovez?) and has the appropriate routes for a '75. The pickup codes date to '75 as well (114875). The tuners are period-correct. It is missing a few PG screws.
Check out my feedback. PM or post questions. Bumps are appreciated. I'm asking $1000 firm including shipping in the continental United States.
