1976 Fender Precision Fretless in Olympic White

This Fender Precision Bass is in great condition with what I believe is all original - it was sold to me that way. The pots date to 1976 and all of the original wiring/soldering looks intact and untouched.
The white has faded to yellow pretty evenly on the top, but shows some signs of patchiness on the side edges and bottom. There are some dings and dents - mostly on the sides, but the rest are barely visible without looking very closely at the instrument. The headstock has wear along the tuning machines and the edges of the wood. I did my best to capture all of the flaws in the photos.
I think she's a beauty and I bought it because I had a matching 79 stratocaster, but the stratocaster is long gone and I just haven't played this bass at all - it has sat in the home studio unplayed and has never left the house. The original case has one broken latch.

Price is $1800 plus shipping.
[b]Reduced to $1700 plus shipping.
Reduced to $1650 shipped to continental US.
Reduced to $1600 shipped to continental US.

I have lots of photos posted here.

On the digital bathroom scale it weights 10 lbs 4 oz.
Also, I tested the truss rod, by tightening and stringing up the bass and then went back and loosened again - it is working properly.

Are there any position markers on the top of the neck and if so, do they line up with where frets would be, if it had frets? Perhaps you could add a photo if this angle.

I added a photo of the top of the neck with the position markers.

Thanks.

Yum. Looks like vanilla pudding and sounds like it too, I bet. Smooth and creamy.

Awesome bass man! Don't be tempted to part it out, please. I wish I could buy it just to preserve it's original integrity. That fingerboard looks perfect!

I own the "reverse image" of this bass: a '76 FL P in walnut with a maple board. Great sounding bass bump.

I own one exactly the same colour but with the maple neck. Mine is '76 also, and bought new in Glasgow, Scotland for the princely sum of 282 Pounds UK a long, long time ago ! She's warm and very light with nothing but a hint of yellowing and the odd scratch to show her age. Elegant beauty and simplicity personified.
