1976 Kramer 450b
For sale is my first "real" bass that I've owned ever since.
Vintage 1976 Kramer 450b
Walnut body highly figured with maple stripes
32" scale aluminum neck with walnut inserts, ebanol fingerboard (frets removed)
It has some surface scratches, but the finish on this thing is so thick that it does not go near the wood.
At age 15, after having heard (and read) about Jaco, I had the frets removed by a local violin maker and left them unfilled since it is a synthetic fingerboard material. It can be easily re-fretted but it does sound pretty nasty as a fretless.
It plays well, sounds very cool and Alembic'ish from the wide spacing of the pickups when both mixed, and soloing the back pickup really barks up a storm.
It comes with a custom made Clydesdale flight case. If you do not want that to save money on shipping let me know and we'll work something out.
Pics tomorrow when I find out where my teenager put my camera.
Asking $750 for this one.
Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks,
Smokin' cigarettes... writin' something nasty on the wall.
